openQA test in scenario sle-15-Installer-DVD-s390x-ext4@s390x-kvm-sle12 fails in
installer_timezone
something about too early/late/double key presses?

Acceptance criteria

  • AC1: The test module installer_timezone passes or fails/soft-fails on a proper product bug.

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 420.1 (current job)

Expected result

Last good: 419.1 (or more recent)

After running it 5 times on shared worker loewe@92 (zkvm), the problem was not reproduced.

Trying to reproduce it manually on openqaw2:1

The problem doesn't happen anymore. After 10 job runs on openqaw2, they all succeed.

The problem may be caused by paritioning_filesystem, as the video shows, the screen was changing too fast. Perhaps the first needle from release notes were lucky. I assume that the problem was related to the wrong check for VIDEOMODE=text. Since partitioning_filesystemd is fixed now. this problem should not appeared anymore.
