Thanks for the report!
We are aware of the issue, it's caused by a bug in appstream-builder, see https://github.com/hughsie/appstream-glib/issues/190 for details.

See also https://github.com/openSUSE/software-o-o/issues/191 for the software.o.o side of this issue.

For now, I removed the 'offending' package from TW that caused the as-builder to crash away (frozen-bubble; sorry, but I deemed the game less critical than software.o.o's search)
A workaround was put in place on software.o.o to download appdata.xml.gz from 'the future snapshot being tested' - so that the snapshot does not have to be released in order to have search back running (snapshot is blocked on other issues)
The actual issue, on as-builder, is still being investigated. Once resolved, frozen-bubble will re-appear in the repository

The package search is now even more broken, it spits out a massive html error message on whatever i search for.
Attached a text file with the message i seperate post, couldn't inline it properly here.

That error was unrelated to the actual issue of that ticket: it coincided with the maintenance slot of build.opensuse.org - where software.o.o cannot fetch relevant information.

This had actually been resolved a while back with the revert of appstream-glib (new updates planned)
