Description

With the increase of ipv6 usage, it would be cool to have also *.o.o offering connectivity with ipv6

one of those service is obs (aka login.o.o)
host build.opensuse.org
build.opensuse.org is an alias for login.opensuse.org.
login.opensuse.org has address 195.135.221.133
login.opensuse.org has IPv6 address 2001:67c:2178:8::12

But some others don't like download.o.o www.o.o wiki.o.o and so on.

download.o.o had no IPv6 last week as we needed to move the machine to Provo (which is fixed now).

In general, all machines running in Provo have no IPv6. wiki.o.o had been moved to Nuremberg since a while and now can get an IPv6 address.

Others might be added as well, but I doubt that IPv6 is possible in Provo at all. So (for example) forums.opensuse.org will probably never see any IPv6 address, as long as it is running in Provo.

I'm not sure how to proceed here, as we highly depend on our Providers here - and some of them do not offer us IPv6. But if there is a volunteer who wants to check all the machines and request and setup IPv6 on them, if possible, I'm fine.

=> Bruno, does your request mean that you want to become such a volunteer?

I wouldn't say it's impossible, I've to define a bit more, what precisely the job is, the steps, and a rought estimation of free time needed for that.
Did we have a csv or any kind of inventory of machines already ?

I am willing to contribute/help with that too.
As bruno_friedmann asked, please give us some input to jump in.
