Description

Observation

openQA test in opensuse-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Build20170810-autoyast_gnome@64bit fails in installation.

Reproducible

Yes.

Fails since (at least) Build 20170810

Expected result

Passed.

Further details

installation is finished, however it boots to minimalx instead of gnome. in 20170810 doesn't have autoyast related update, DEFAULT_WM change already part of 20170802,
need to deeper investigating on this issue.

  • Priority changed from Normal to High

Fails reproducibly and also in other scenarios. However a rerun on the "last good" build shows the test still passing: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/466343#step/installation/11 so the tests do not seem to have an impact. IMHO clearly a change in the product between 20170808 and 20170810

This is definitely product change. I've created bug: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1053863 Actually gnome is installed, but not started after installation. If there is no bugfix in short term we will implement soft-failure. As of now I resolve this ticket.
