Description

Observation

openQA test in scenario opensuse-42.3-DVD-x86_64-yast2_ui@64bit fails in
yast2_ftp

Looks like a random test failure, eg due to timeout as previous runs of the same build worked. Please check whether the test can be improved to avoid random failures.

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 0229

Expected result

Last good: (unknown) (or more recent)

Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: latest

I see that here serial output was flooded with kernel messages: https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/436218#step/yast2_ftp/45 which is known problem.

@riafarov

I think the problem is here:

assert_screen 'yast2_ftp_expert_settings'; # check passive mode value and enable SSL

after assert_screen, send_key doesn't work:

send_key 'alt-s'; # give path for DSA certificate
type_string '/etc/vsftpd.pem';

Compare with same test against openSUSE TW we don't have the issue with "UI Syntax Error" on Leap which has been reported as production issue.

checked manually by using openSUSE-42.3-x86_64-Build0315, no issue at all.
