Description

Observation

I found that in particular when accessed from SUSE Nbg offices progress.opensuse.org often responds with

Slow down, fast geeko!
Your source address was found to be submitting a lot of requests in a short time frame.

To ensure an evenly smooth experience for our users, our systems found it necessary to temporarily block your access.
If you are coming in good faith, we apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask you to try again a bit later.

We are observing slow response and intermittent service outage for a very short amount of time causing interruptions.
The error page says: `We are very sorry, but the requested service is currently not available.`

Possibly related to #182015 and causing inconveniences

Hi,

thanks for reporting, I assume that your office makes requests from a shared address / NAT, requiring more lenient rate limiting.

I will wait for the deployment of the changes in https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/181676, as they will reduce the amount of requests needed for browsing progress.o.o.

Afterwards (assuming you still observe the rate limiting) I can check the request load from your office source address and increase its limit.

For this, please provide your IP address as reported by https://ip.opensuse.org (of course, opened from your office).
