open[core][aarch64][serial terminal][sporadic] virtio serial console gets stuck after switching user then logout
0%
Description
Description¶
The sporadic issue is often seen on aarch64 platfrom, and this is not the only test module we hit the issue. we have to add some workarounds for this issue.
However, the issue can be reproduced stable in below way....
- switch user
- run some commands in new session
- logout
then serial terminal gets stuck [or shell prompt doesn't show up] like https://openqa.suse.de/tests/17024558#step/krb5/80
# wait_serial expected: "# "
# Result:
kdestroy
logout
This leads the next command can't get return code, openQA job fails due to timeout.
Can you please help? as far as I know, we can't do much change for "/dev/hvc0"
Thanks,
Richard.
