Motivation¶

There are 2 use cases for offline medium:

1. installation without network
2. installation with registration where installer prefers the package in the medium but still setup registration and installed system contains update repos.

In this ticket we will deal with 2) setting up for all architecture/backends (so that includes to not forget s390x svirt and s390x zVM or uefi) a default interactive installation, in this case we don't need to deactivate the network so we can still retrieve the puppeteer tests.

Notice that there might be some issues with booting the mediums, RAM problems, so we will cover this in this ticket.

Acceptance criteria¶

• AC1: Monitor bugs and provide feedback about the state of the offline medium regarding proper booting.
• AC2: Enable automation to cover this interactive installation with offline medium and networking.
• AC3: Verify after installation repos/registration.

Additional information¶

If the medium is not sync on openQA, just copy it to openQA and override openQA variable ISO.
