[openQA][schedule] Can wrongly scheduled product be cancelled all at once?
0%
Description
Observation¶
Again there are wrongly schedule products again. Just cancelling individual test runs does not stop it which continues to schedule another round.
I think it would be better to have capability of cancelling such wrongly scheduled products all at once on openQA.
Introducing a mechanism of preventing such thing from happening or a method of mitigating already happened one is the good direction I think.
Human or machine can make mistake occasionally. Having some effective preventive or recovery measure in place can help a lot without blaming anyone I think.
Steps to reproduce¶
- Not very clear
- Maybe someone (especially who scheduled) can help clarify.
Impact¶
- Worker resources are being occupied all the time during the period which is quite long time
- No other work requiring worker resource can proceed
Problem¶
Lacking of mechanism or measure to prevent or recover.
Suggestions¶
- Look into the issue in the first place and see what happened really
- Look into any feasibility of introducing preventive or recovery mechanism on openQA
- Or prevent this happening from other aspects
Workaround¶
