Description
Observation¶
openQA test in scenario sle-15-SP7-JeOS-for-RaspberryPi-aarch64-jeos-realhw-RPi@RPi3B fails in
prepare_firstboot
Test suite description¶
Run a test on real RPi hardware. To be used eg. with RPi4 machine.
Setup: https://confluence.suse.com/pages/viewpage.action?spaceKey=~dheidler&title=Hardware+Automation
Reproducible¶
Fails since (at least) Build 1.13
Expected result¶
Last good: (unknown) (or more recent)
Suggestions¶
- Look into recent work regarding ensuring network access again for other machines in NUE2 #174298
- Fix RPi infra specific issues. Start with https://openqa.suse.de/tests/16614687 incompleting with "backend died: "/var/lib/openqa/share/tests/opensuse/data/generalhw_scripts/power_on_off_shelly.sh" unexpectedly returned exit value 1 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.26.1/IPC/System/Simple.pm line 566.
- Reboot the piworker and see whether it helps.
- Look into more recent jobs that incompleted.
- Fix the user creation in the tests (bernhard already exists in the image as we preprocess the image in openQA - see https://openqa.suse.de/tests/16510669#step/firstrun/27 for the fail).

Created a fix for https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/166175
Powercycled the complete rpi setup as one of the wifi plugs had lost connection and wouldn't automatically connect again.
Now all wifi plugs are online again.

The machine works again - the remaining error should be fixed when the PR referenced in the issue referenced in my last comment is merged.
