Motivation¶

As can be seen in the example of #173368 there can be a significant amount of coupled, i.e. "blocked", backlog items. To be able to come up with useful improvements we should try to better distinguish between internal+external coupling.

Acceptance criteria¶

• AC1: Reproducible metrics distinguish between internal and external coupling of tickets on the backlog

Suggestions¶

• Our backlog is on https://progress.opensuse.org/issues?query_id=230 and we can count the number of tickets in each state, e.g. "Blocked". We could distinguish between internal+external coupling by using separate states or other factors in redmine queries, e.g. separate tags or if there are relations to other redmine tickets.
