Motivation¶

openQA worker hardware is also sometimes comprised of special dedicated testing hardware resources that human testers or other systems compete with. We could offer ways to reserve/enable/disable openQA worker instances connected to according testing hardware to allow making use of those systems for other purposes, e.g. manual testing or temporary use in other systems. With openQA already having users and a good audit log we could allow users to reserve/enable/disable worker instances with a comment and time tracking since reservation or last change. Optionally with reminding people to give back the systems.
