Observation¶

In the logs of 'external tests', I could find:

E AssertionError: Installed libjpeg8 = 81.1 is newer than what libjpeg8-x86-64-v3 requires (= 80.1)

This can only happen because the image itself is taken from Factory:ToTest (next snapshot to be published), but the repositories used later are the PUBLISHED openSUSE Tumbleweed repository. That situation results in this conflict.

For the specific one: libjpeg-turbo has been checked in on 2024-10-01 15:11:10 - so for snapshot 1001 - which is exactly what we are testing here. The numbers 81.1 and 80.1 refer to the checkin/rebuild counters (release tag of the RPMs):

Test suite description¶

The base test suite is used for job templates defined in YAML documents. It has no settings of its own.
