Motivation¶

Once the setup is clear for staging and product increments, it is time for QE Yam to tackle missing migration 5.5 to 6.0.

But as all is already cook, it would be just about to do the following steps (assuming the migration itself doesn't require further adjustments):

1. Create a new job group for SL Micro 6.0 Product Increments - Migration (we will see in the future if staging is needed, for now only in increments).
2. Enable this job group with flavor Base-qcow-Updates in aarch64, s390x and x86_64.
3. Run a test migrating from 5.5 to 6.0 booting the existing image stored in OSD for 5.5. SLE-Micro.x86_64-5.5.0-Default-GM.raw.xz SLE-Micro.s390x-5.5.0-Default-kvm-GM.qcow2 SLE-Micro.aarch64-5.5.0-Default-GM.raw.xz Therefore, no sync of isos with obs is needed.

Acceptance criteria¶

AC1: Automation for migration from SLE Micro 5.5 to SL Micro 6.0 is set up.
AC2: Create follow-up ticket to enable migration of other images like Base-encrypted-Updates.
