Description

Observation

Following a conversation in Slack @nicksinger enabled emails for cron jobs. Now we're getting emails from (Cron Daemon) such as this:

# INFO: Running /usr/bin/dehydrated as dehydrated/dehydrated
# INFO: Using main config file /etc/dehydrated/config
Processing openqa.opensuse.org
 + Checking domain name(s) of existing cert... unchanged.
 + Checking expire date of existing cert...
 + Valid till Oct 17 23:00:12 2024 GMT (Longer than 30 days). Skipping renew!

Suggestions

  • Don't send emails related to dehydrated/certificates if there is nothing to do

Merged and deployed on o3. I adjusted our root crontab to:

0   0   *   *   *       /usr/bin/dehydrated --cron | /opt/os-autoinst-scripts/filter-dehydrated-cron-output

we should not see these messages again.
