Description

Observation

This ticket is mainly needed to tag the failing test, I don't think much is wrong from our side (except if our centos image has some invalid repos defined)

We boot a centos image, then try to yum update - which results in yum claiming no repo mirror URLs are defined. So, either a centos issue or our image needs to be validated to have valid repository configurations

openQA test in scenario opensuse-Tumbleweed-NET-x86_64-containers_tw_image_on_centos_host@64bit fails in
host_configuration

Test suite description

Runs image container test on Centos using podman

Reproducible

Fails since (at least) Build 20240603

Expected result

Last good: 20240531 (or more recent)

Further details

Always latest result in this scenario: latest

Actions #2

Updated by openqa_review 28 days ago

This is an autogenerated message for openQA integration by the openqa_review script:

This bug is still referenced in a failing openQA test: container_image_on_centos_host
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/4279996#step/host_configuration/1

To prevent further reminder comments one of the following options should be followed:

  1. The test scenario is fixed by applying the bug fix to the tested product or the test is adjusted
  2. The openQA job group is moved to "Released" or "EOL" (End-of-Life)
  3. The bugref in the openQA scenario is removed or replaced, e.g. label:wontfix:boo1234

Expect the next reminder at the earliest in 28 days if nothing changes in this ticket.

  • Subject changed from centos: yum update fails to refresh to Update CentOS Stream to 9
  • Priority changed from Normal to High

The reason for the failure is likely that we're still using CentOS Stream 8 but we should use now CentOS Stream 9. We need to update the images ASAP.
