Observation

openQA test in scenario sle-12-SP3-Server-DVD-x86_64-migration_zdup_offline_sle12sp1_allpatterns+workaround_deps@64bit fails in
setup_zdup
to boot into a system. 200s of wait time should be enough but it might not be and nobody would ever accept this bug because it is for old released systems and not easily reproducible and also probably only visible in our test environment.

Suggestion

  • Make timeout waiting for desktop a configurable parameter in lib/utils.pm::wait_boot
  • Call wait_boot from tests/installation/setup_zdup with bigger value as parameter, e.g. 600 seconds

bug fixed by https://github.com/os-autoinst/os-autoinst-distri-opensuse/pull/2252 issue not reproduces for long time. closing bug
