closedbuild.opensuse.org slow
100%
Description
Hi,
I just wonder if it is normal, that I currently have extremly slow
bandwith to build.o.o when trying to do a openSUSE:Factory:zSystems
testbuild with type qemu.
The Package that I am interested in is python-onnx, and it is now
downloading for 58 Minutes without any end in sight.
Yes, I see some progres at /tmp/osc_build* with data rates at about
typical ISDN data rates, however this is not really workable. When
pinging build.opensuse.org, I get a considerable number of package
drops, and tracepath tells me, that half of the latencies are added
from within the twelve99 network. My own network is connected with
100/40 MBit to the internet (downstream/upstream) and works as
desired (actual rates is 106/42).
Some more data:

The current data rate makes it quite hard to contribute to opensuse,
therefore I would really appreciate if this was just an exception, and
not a new normal...

Hi there Berthold,
For future reference, please don't CC admin at opensuse.org when you're also starting a thread
in a mailing list -- like you did. It will have wanted behaviors since this email address
is intended to be used as an interface to progress.opensuse.org ticketing system.
First you discuss the issue in the mailing list thread, then you email admin@o.o if you were
advised to.
Since Adrian S. said they'd leave this issue to the network admins from the SUSE-IT team, I'm
going to close this ticket.
Regards,
Luciano
