Description

Hello Team

Following your guide @ https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Radxa_Zero#Write_U-Boot_Image_2 I've found misleading info regarding "Writing a disk image to the eMMC"

Please correct chapter/section "Write U-Boot Image", specifically, u-boot.bin.sd.bin should be used instead of u-boot.bin.sd.bin. This section seems to be fully copied from previous one, when you suppose to use SD card.

Thx.
Tomas

Hi Tomas,
thanks for reporting this, but we are not really the right place. We only maintain the infrastructure, we don't maintain the content.
I would suggest you talk to "avicenzi" who wrote all of that page, only about two weeks ago. (see the history).

Hmm, I was going to assign this to avicenzi, but he's not on the list of possible assignees??

u-boot.bin.sd.bin should be used instead of u-boot.bin.sd.bin.

This does not make sense.

The official docs says:

u-boot.bin.sd.bin: mainline U-Boot bootloader for eMMC/microSD boot.

To properly flash the eMMC you need to put the board in maskrom mode, see https://wiki.radxa.com/Zero/dev/maskrom

There's no difference between eMMC and SD boot, both should be flashed the same way.

The wiki is open, any user can edit it, if something is misleading feel free to fix it, or report exactly what problem you are facing and I can try to reproduce on my side.

avicenzi, when you reject something, people tend to get upset. Please add a courteous explanation - in the case of the wiki, it is always possible to invite people to contribute themselves, in a polite way.

Sorry, I did not see that you had already done all that. Mea culpa.
