hello opensuse org admin team,
lists.opensuse.org - webserver backand timeouts - nginx 504 gateway timeout
for a while now. and every other day as well. often feels like very
crowded, under powered or something similar. infrastructure for the
public audience of opensuse.org 'underfinanced' or underdeveloped?
badly performing.

I can only confirm, but there is no crowding, there is plenty of power and our infrastructure is neither underfinanced nor underdeveloped. It's simply mailman that is performing poorly. We have or have had a number of reports about the same.
I have also observed how it grows increasingly worse, but usually a restart can "fix" it.
