[qe-core] test fails in apache_ssl - investigate why apache_openssl fails sporadically

Observation

apache_ssl seems to fail every so often specially in the default test scenario, with a timeout that I can't really explain (2minutes for searching a package?...), trying a manual verification or using developer mode initially (and using the time command to see how much does it really take in multiple runs and checking ram for instance) and from there we can figure out what to do next.

  1. Results and findings of the statistical investigation are written on this ticket. A fix is desired, but not needed.

The standard scenario where we mainly just follow installation suggestions without any adjustments.

Small observations:

  • In the default testsuite QEMURAM=2048 was added 19 days ago.
  • In the last build apache_ssl failed at textmode+role_textmode and wsm+dev_tools+textmode, where QEMURAM is the default.

Until now I haven't managed to reproduce it when QEMURAM=2048 and I am trying to reproduce it with the default QEMURAM.

Some extra updates:

  • I work mainly now with textmode+role_textmode, as the issue in openqa can be reproduced everytime, even if I add the QEMURAM=2048
  • When I enter and run the command in the machine, the issue never happens. Using the time it just takes 1-2 seconds and no more.
  • So, I am doing some more debugging now
