Motivation

mkittler does not want to work on #94492 because he thinks doing the change in an older influxdb version and then eventually needing to upgrade in 10 years is too much effort :)

Suggestions

  • call podman run --rm -it registry.opensuse.org/opensuse/tumbleweed, in there add repo

Out of scope

  • Working with actual production data or "big set of data", just understand the concept
  • Experimenting that it actual works assuming this would make you estimate the size of the ticket higher than M

it seems like there is currently no more recent version of influxdb anywhere on OBS. I don't think we should tinker with anything different but openSUSE packages here.
