matrix.i.o.o disk full - too verbose logging?

Description

The disk of matrix.i.o.o was filled up with logfiles in /var/log/matrix-synapse.

As a workaround, I deleted some of the oldest logs and xz-compressed newer ones, but that's only a temporary workaround. I'm afraid the disk will be full again in some days.

The discord subdirectory was the biggest one with (IIRC) 5 GB of uncompressed logfiles.

Please make sure the logs get compressed and/or reduce the logging verbosity.

Sorry, I did not notice this ticket before opening #116620. I think this is fine-ish for now, Synapse is still logging a lot, but now to it's own partition with automatic rotation (100MB + max. 3 files). Leaving it up to the assignee whether this can be closed as well though.
