Motivation¶

See parent epic #92575 . Already possible are feature switches in the form of "test variables" within test settings (products, machines, test suites, job templates) as well as worker configs. In many cases webui+workers are deployed synchronously so having feature switches available on that level and effective for whole instances without needing to change multiple test settings would be helpful.

Acceptance criteria¶

• AC1: Test variable based feature switches can be set in a single location effective for one whole openQA infrastructure

Suggestions¶

• As we already have the configuration file /etc/openqa/openqa.ini on the openQA webUI instance maybe we can just extend the config file parsing to enable setting test variables on a global level in there?
• Optional additional idea: Have a webUI page over which such global settings can be applied
