This only affects on-demand images:

• Azure-Basic
• Azure-Standart

Azure-BYOS is not affected.

The issue is always a zypper install issue. There is no issue with registercloudguest or the zypper repositories.

• Azure Basic - zypper lr is OK
• Azure-Standard - zypper lr is OK

We get some Permission denied error when accessing the rpm repositories at https://smt-azure.susecloud.net

Proceeding with debugging on my own instance.

In a first attempt, the issue could not be reproduced. Further investigating.

This looks like an infrastructure issue to me.
