Hello,
I ama a Global Moderator of the openSUSE forums.
My Kmail contacts pop.1and1.com every 5 minutes for fetching e-mail. Works fr
years.
But now, every 5 minutes I get a popup:
Please enter the username and password for account 'openSUSE-staff' (that the
account name in the local configuration). You are asked here because the
previous login was not successful.
The fields there are prefilled (by Kwallet) with username hcvv@opensuse-
forums.org and the password.
When I click OK, I get a pop-up
Unable to login at the server ..... password may be wrong
Server said "authentication failed"
I tried to replace the Kwallet password with the one I have noted somewhere,
but that failed also.¶

unless I have completely misunderstood, this is not an issue about the openSUSE infrastructure?

I am not sure if it strictly belongs to that, but I got this account with mail address when I became a Mod. It is a communication fallback for the situation where the "normal" communication (PMs on the forum, posting on the forum) fail.
I am informed that I am not the only one. I reported this in a thread on the Staff Only part of the openSUSE forums, a fellow mod experienced the same and asked me to report here.

Sorry, it's got nothing to do with us. We only forward your o.o emails to your own address. I would contact the 1and1 helpdesk.

I have heard from Gertjan that this is not about an "opensuse.org" address, but about "opensuse-forums.org". We have got nothing to do with that domain.
