OpenSUSE,

We'd like to access rsync:://stage.opensuse.org::opensuse-hotstuff-320gb
in order to provide a public mirror. We currently mirror many other open
source projects: https://mirror.freemirror.org

The address which the mirror will sync is 54.39.66.60

Location is Montreal, Canada
Bandwidth: 1gbps
Organization: The Free Mirror Project (FreeMirror.org)

The public URLs will be at:
http://cygwin.freemirror.org/cygwin
https://cygwin.freemirror.org/cygwin

Based on demand, we can possibly offer a 640gb mirror down the road.

many thanks for volunteering your time and resources for our mirror infrastructure, much appreciated!
I have added 'mirror.freemirror.org' = 54.39.66.60 to the stage.o.o ACL. I'll get the mirror database updated tomorrow.
The hotstuff modules are not currently being updated, instead I suggest you use 'opensuse-full-really-everything' and exclude the bits you don't want or don't have the room for.

Hi again,

We've been observing the synchronization from stage.opensuse.org for a
few days without issue.

The corrected public URLs are:
http://opensuse.freemirror.org/opensuse/
https://opensuse.freemirror.org/opensuse/
rsync://opensuse.freemirror.org::opensuse

For the time being, the excluded directories will be:
/opensuse/debug/
/opensuse/history/
/opensuse/source/

If that works for OpenSUSE, we're ready to be used as a public mirror.

when I try the rsync link, I get a list of all your mirrors?

rsync --list-only rsync://opensuse.freemirror.org/

If I try

# rsync --list-only rsync://opensuse.freemirror.org/opensuse/

It seems to me /opensuse/ is superflous in the URL?

The http setup looks good, but we need the rsync fixed before I can enable the mirror.

Hello again,I made an adjustment in rsyncd.conf that should solve the issue.
Try:rsync opensuse.freemirror.org::opensuse

Yes, that looks better - rsync --list-only rsync://opensuse.freemirror.org/opensuse

Having 'opensuse' in both hostname and directory is perhaps a little confusing, but it doesn't matter.

I've just started a scan, when it is complete, your mirror will be enabled.
