Motivation

For SLES15SP7 RC phase, we need to take a RMT regression manual testing.
The test steps could be found in https://confluence.suse.com/display/qasle/How-To%3A+Test+RMT+regression+cases

Acceptance criteria

AC1 : Manual testing is conducted according to our guide and bugs are filed if any.

Last time, we tested it in 15-SP7 beta phase, version: rmt-server-2.21-150700.15.1. The latest version is rmt-server-2.21-150700.18.11

Installed a SLES15SP7 with build90.1, and setup a rmt server with latest version:
rmt-server-2.22-150700-14.1.x86_64.rpm
rmt-server-config-2.22-150700-14.1.x86_64.rpm

Enabled some products and mirroring the repos now.

Test the rmt-server-2.22-150700-14.1 on SLES15SP7:

  • Setup a rmt server
  • Sync with SCC
  • Enable some products and modules of sles12sp5, sled15sp7, sles15sp7, sles15sp6
  • Mirror the repos; disabled some products and test the delete repo
  • Test the support of slpd discovery on the rmt server, and install a sles12sp5 and sled15sp7 with the rmt server
  • Sync the clients to scc, the registered clients could be found in SCC

All works fine, no issues found, resolve here.
