Observation

While working on #180989 we noticed that the IPMI tests do not return a shutdown state, for example here.
See latest, in case the job was deleted

[2025-04-23T18:06:42.417633Z] [debug] [pid:169492] backend shutdown state:

ususally it should return a boolean value, like seen here:
