Description

Since I've been working on flagging and removing the spam on paste.o.o,
I've been seeing some recurring usernames attached to many of the spam
posts, and they only post spam. I know that it's easy enough for
them to just switch local usernames, if they're using a tool like
susepaste, but is there a mechanism within paste.o.o to just reject
posts from the username "Rubenroalp" for instance?

I don't think such a mechanism exists in paste-o-o.

I have a script which runs every once in a while removing pastes with titles which are known to be offending, I can probably extend it to also do that for authors. Though it is a bit ugly for good users because if a legitimate paste is posted, it will appear to just randomly disappears before the set expiry instead of already being rejected already upon submission.

I added authors handling to ~paste/bin/nuke_bad_patterns.rb now with "Rubenroalp" being the first entry.

@hellcp to tell if there's a better way.

Works for me, lets just see what it does with that one username for now.

Yeah, moderation on paste-o-o is relatively limited, I might have a look at extending the capabilities a little bit
