Description
Observation¶
Some hosts can now no longer reach each other: https://stats.openqa-monitor.qa.suse.de/d/EML0bpuGk/monitoring?orgId=1&viewPanel=panel-4&from=now-6h&to=now
Mitigations¶
- The alert was silenced
Suggestions¶
- NUE2 based workers should be able to reach mirror.nue2.suse.org.
ping mirror.nue2.suse.org
shows that IPv6 does not work, IPv4 does -> IT ticket

We need to ask the build opts team, see reply on the SD ticket and https://suse.slack.com/archives/C02BX1X92HM/p1731596014225539.

The host can now be pinged over IPv6 and the alert is no longer firing. So I deleted the silence.
Note that the web server (providing the mirror) still does not seem to listen on IPv6. (So ping -6 mirror.nue2.suse.org
works but curl -6 http://mirror.nue2.suse.org
does not.) I mentioned that on Slack as well. Should we wait until that is fixed or can I consider the ticket resolved?
