If I understand correct, this is the hypervisor of the RMT server (a VM, name: migration-rmt2.qe.nue2.suse.org) and SMT server (a VM, name: migration-smt2.qe.nue2.suse.org). But for this hypervisor, its Common name and FQDN is migration-smt2-1 . Summarize:

(Oliver Kurz) Yes, sounds about right. I think the host is badly named in racktables as "migration-smt2" should be the name of the VM, not the physical machine. I will see if we can improve that

Acceptance Criteria¶

• AC1: Names of VM and physical host are clearly distinguishable
• AC2: FQDN does not include a arabic numbered suffix

Suggestions¶

• Come up with a ~better~ fancy name
• Ensure DHCP/DNS entries are aligned in OPS-Service/salt
• Update the name in racktables
• Print a label to stick on the machine
