Motivation¶

For #159048 the decision by IT was that a separate HMC should be setup rather than using the existing one powerhmc1.oqa.prg2.suse.org to control machines within qe.prg2.suse.org, regardless of the location PRG2/PRG2e. So https://powerhmc.qe.prg2.suse.org was created and we need to setup that instance to have it usable for people.

Acceptance criteria¶

• AC1: powerhmc.qe.prg2.suse.org is usable by at least some members of the tools team
• AC2: powerhmc.qe.prg2.suse.org is mentioned on a suitable place of documentation

Suggestions¶

• Setup powerhmc.qe.prg2.suse.org similar to powerhmc1.oqa.prg2.suse.org, e.g. set proper admin password, setup user accounts with LDAP and permissions
• Ensure that at least one PowerPC machine is connected and controllable within this new HMC
• Document the admin password
• Add documentation to the according fitting places
