Motivation¶

openqa.suse.de is heavily used and sometimes overused. The virtual machine can not be easily grown in size so we need to look into splitting out load elsewhere. Also there are limitations in managing the VM, see #132149 . IT proposes to use "openplatform" for more purposes, see https://itpe.io.suse.de/open-platform/docs/ so we should consider using that platform based on more modern container-based deployments and move workload there, e.g. as a staging platform, for specific SUSE products tested in openQA, testing SLE maintenance tests or SLE staging tests, etc.
