closedQA (public) - coordination #121720: [saga][epic] Migration to QE setup in PRG2+NUE3 while ensuring availability
QA (public) - coordination #123800: [epic] Provide SUSE QE Tools services running in PRG2 aka. Prg CoLo
Ensure we have a consistent racktables entry for OSD
0%
Description
Observation¶
During work on #161309 I realized that I can not find any racktables entry for the OSD VM itself, only the obsolete https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&tab=default&object_id=9456 . I assume https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&tab=default&object_id=24677 should mention openqa.suse.de or openqa.oqa.prg2.suse.org . Possibly the entry was erroneously deleted.
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: A valid entry exists for the OSD VM
- AC2: We can find the OSD VM entry in racktables when searching for "openqa" or "openqa.suse.de" or "openqa.oqa.prg2.suse.org"
Suggestions¶
- Crosscheck with IT which should be the correct entry, maybe it's https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&tab=default&object_id=9456 and needs to be updated.
- Ensure that the racktables entry has all the relevant details so that we can find it using common search terms
- Ensure that there is no "decommissioned" entry around for still valid entries
- Ensure that all IPv4+IPv6 addresses are up-to-date

I found https://suse.slack.com/archives/C04MDKHQE20/p1694430865857789?thread_ts=1693578390.886649&cid=C04MDKHQE20 from 2023-09-11
(Oliver Kurz) https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&tab=default&object_id=9456 still exists for the old openqa.suse.de NUE1 based VM. I think you already removed the storage volumes, VM, right? Care to update the racktables entry, move it to decomissioned or something?
(Martin Caj) I will update it. Thanks
(Oliver Kurz) the above entries still exist unchanged , can you give an ETA?
my last message was from 2023-09-18. Apparently that still wasn't done yet.

I created https://sd.suse.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/SD-158582 because I assume otherwise https://jira.suse.com/browse/ENGINFRA-2524 would not be looked into again
