It would be beneficial to switch away from Gravatar, a proprietary service with privacy concerns, to Libravatar. The reference implementation at libravatar.org unfortunately does not offer IPv6: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/11832.
It would be nice for us to host our own Libravatar - if I understand correctly, it can federate to libravatar.org and potentially Gravatar (ideally users would of course just upload their image to Libravatar directly).
One task is deploying it, another to switch various services to it (some software allows for configurable avatar APIs, some might not).
