Description

Hi,

I sent out an email to project@ and received this message:

=======
Your message to the Election Officials mailing-list was rejected for the
following
reasons:

Header "x-spam-status: No, score=0.1 required=5.0
tests=DMARC_NONE,HTML_MESSAGE,
RCVD_IN_DNSWL_NONE,RCVD_IN_MSPIKE_H3,RCVD_IN_MSPIKE_WL,SPF_HELO_NONE,
T_PDS_SHORTFWD_URISHRT_QP autolearn=disabled version=3.4.5" matched a
header rule

The original message as received by Mailman is attached

Some other user in the openSUSE BAR reported the same issue.

  • Category set to Mailing lists
  • Status changed from New to Feedback
  • Private changed from Yes to No

Duplicates #158922, the election-officials mailing list is subscribed to the project mailing list. Not ideal, but was your email sent as HTML? The election-officials probably only accept plain text.

Checked and confirm that I sent it as html, will change that for future messages

  • Status changed from Feedback to Workable

Thanks for confirming! Then that was likely the issue in #158922 as well.

We should still reach out to the election-officials for them to unsubscribe their list from the project list - this doesn't work well if both lists enforce different rules. :-)
