Description
OSEM uses oEmbed to allow an embedded representation of a URL on third party sites.
As I like to embed some pictures from the openSUSE Wiki in a workshop proposal for oSC 2017 without having to create accounts on the currently supported 3rd party sides, I like to ask if it might be possible to have something like the Extension:OEmbedProvider installed on our openSUSE MediaWiki instance(s).

You are asking for an extension with "Release status: unknown" and exactly one "Initial stub" commit on github which is 6 years old.
I like your optimism ;-))

As you probably already guessed from my first comment - I won't add an unstable, unmaintained extension just for a "would be nice" feature ;-)
