Motivation¶
openQA supports special variables treated as secrets with e.g. hiding the values from log files and settings but SCC registration codes are stored in a non-secret variable. As suggested in https://confluence.suse.com/display/qasle/Post+Mortem+-+25.10.2023+-+SCC+Registration+keys+leaked?focusedCommentId=1374715912#comment-1374715912 I suggest to migrate SCC regcode variables to use that approach as well. It would at least make some parts more secure.
