Description

Hi,

Redmine might switch to Rails 7 soon: https://www.redmine.org/issues/36320.
With this, the "Favourite Projects" plugin will break: https://github.com/syntacticvexation/redmine_favourite_projects/issues/72.

Hence I plan to proactively remove it.

In the settings we seem to only have the following enabled:

  • "Show tabular view of projects on My Page with links to modules"
  • "Allow users to override these settings"

I neither know what the first option does nor where a user would be able to customize anything related to this plugin.

If someone wants to provide a patch or a more modern alternative let me know.

Hello!

As preparation for future Redmine updates, I will remove the "Favourite Projects" plugin from https://>progress.opensuse.org/ next week due to it breaking with Rails 7 and there not being any upstream development.

Downstream issue: https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/154885

Cheers,
Georg

No response, hence proceeding with the removal.
