Motivation:¶
There are a few cases of zvm on s390x are not distributed in openqa as 155SP6 migration matrix. Based on matrix, the following cases should migrate via media, while in openqa they are tested via pscc, so need to update the testsuites setting for these cases:
- offline_sles15sp3_media_basesys-srv_all_full_zVM@s390x-zVM
- offline_sles15sp4_media_basesys-srv_def_full_zVM@s390x-zVM
- offline_sles15sp5_media_basesys-srv-python3_def_full_zVM@s390x-zVM
Acceptance criteria:¶
[AC1]: Add setting "MEDIA_UPGRADE: '1'" to the testsuites listed above
[AC2]: s/SCC_ADDONS: 'base,serverapp,ltss' /SCC_ADDONS: 'base,serverapp' for testsuite offline_sles15sp4_media_basesys-srv_def_full_zVM@s390x-zVM (ltss already registered and de-registered in the _pre job, so no need to add it to the 2nd job)

what does this setting? I don't see at first glance any difference in the verification and the fail.

These testsuites in openqa are tested with offline pscc, while based on case names, they should be 'offline media', so I opened this ticket to correct the testsuites.
I checked Huajian's MR and VRs, it seems adding "MEDIA_UPGRADE=1" only couldn't fix it. Need to make the _pre case deregistered, the _pre case did a scc_deregistration, but then it [registered again in patch_sle]. In this situation, the system would use pscc to do migration.
So need to make the system be DEREGISTERED status to do media migration.
