Description
Motivation¶
In #131549 it was identified that unreal+quake are not supported (and maybe not usable at all) for Windows Server 2016+. Maybe we have available alternative hardware at our disposal that we can offer to QE Virt for that purpose
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: All available alternative hardware potentially usable as a Windows Server 2016+ within FC Basement have been identified
- AC2: Remote control for machines referenced to AC1 is available
Suggestions¶
- Review all machines within https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=row&row_id=19134 which ones can be used for Windows Server 2016+
- Maybe pettigrew https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&object_id=18114 can be used. It's currently unused and at least according to https://community.cisco.com/t5/unified-computing-system-discussions/install-windows-2016-and-2019-with-server-configuration-utility/td-p/3846559 it might work to use as Windows Server 2016+

We managed to provide hyperv2016+ testing on unreal machines, e.g. https://gitlab.suse.de/openqa/salt-pillars-openqa/-/blob/master/openqa/workerconf.sls#L918 on unreal5 running hyperv2016. This was also helped by extending storage #137234
