The lack of office access makes it very inconvenient to work in the basement because on such a day one would likely also want to be in the office and switch between the areas possibly a few times.

@mkittler mgriessmeier clarified with ofecher: Any office-based or hybrid workers can get an building access card. homeoffice-based workers will not get a building access card. You should have a SUSE-office access card so by asking at the reception nicely or walking along with any other SUSE employee you should be able to get to the floor from where you can access SUSE-offices. With your SUSE access card you should already be able to access FC Basement without further restrictions as the basement should be accessible to you anyway.
