action #123634
closedcoordination #123583: [epic] Agama auto-installation
Run post-installation tests after installing with D-Installer CLI
0%
Description
Motivation¶
Once we have a setup in development job group for installing ALP with D-Installer via CLI in x86_64 and aarch64 (s390x is on its way) Yam squad should ensure that what is installed is correct, that all the components are there and are in the right place.
For that we will run the same post-installation test that are running for the obs images:
https://openqa.opensuse.org/tests/3050429#
Another thing to consider is if in openQA we can change the ram after install somehow with os-autoinst or we need to link job with "start directly after" or other mechanism, because the installed system should not run with 4GB of RAM like the installation does.
Check with developers if there is plan to reduce the memory footprint sharing this example with them.
Acceptance criteria¶
AC1: Run post-installation test after installing with D-Installer CLI
AC2: Files bugs found when running those tests (very likely we will hit something)
AC3: Consider how to run after installation with minimal RAM
Additional information¶
We will not be responsible for those post-installation tests, we might find the ones more related with installer later, but for now we need to schedule them to have some sanity check, we might need to contact mainteners or responsible for those test modules when filing the bugs if we don't have the knowledge.
