Description

Motivation
To start to test current RMT regression cases in openQA and investigate how to test its new cases.

  • For the cases already added to openQA, need to move the cases from Dev:Test-GaoWei group to Migration: Milestone group;
  • And below is the reply from SCC team about the new RMT regression cases:

It would be great if you could extend the test: registering a SLES15SP3 client, with testing both, the initially shipped SUSEConnect version on SPSP3, and testing the registration on 15SP3 with the latest SUSEConnect (>= 0.3.36). Because there is a change in authentication, and RMT must support both versions.
Also testing the registration with 15SP4 clients (new suseconnect-ng) would be helpful.

Action Item:
AC1: Move the rmt regression cases from [Dev:Test-GaoWei] group to [Migration: Milestone] group, remove the _15sp5 from case names.
rmt_chinese_15sp5
rmt_export_15sp5
rmt_import_15sp5
rmt_feature_15sp5
rmt_proxy_15sp5
AC2: To investigate how to test the new cases and add the cases to openQA or add them to manual test cases if don't test them in openQA.

I think we can remove the AC1 part. The AC2 is not done yet.

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

I was asked about this and we already cover it partially and other squad will cover the remaining part, so we can reject this ticket.
See additional information in https://jira.suse.com/browse/PED-3727
Anyway we should avoid to increase the test coverage and focus more in reorganizing what we have and even drop some part if redundant.
