closedcoordination #121720: [saga][epic] QE setup in PRG2+NUE3
coordination #116623: [epic] Migration of SUSE openQA+QA+QAM systems to new security zones
Ensure every physical machine within .qam.suse.de has an IPMI+eth L2 address entry in racktables size:M
0%
Description
Motivation¶
See parent #116623. For the migration to new security zones we need to know the L2 address, i.e. MAC address, of every physical machine within the .qam.suse.de, both IPMI as well as any eth port
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: All currently used, physical QAM machines in racktables have a valid L2 address entry for every interface
Suggestions¶
- Walk over the complete list of QAM machines, e.g. starting from https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?andor=and&cft%5B%5D=11&cfe=%7BNuremberg%7D+and+%28%7BQAM%7D%29+and+not+%7BOld-Decommissioned%7D+and+not+%7BDecommissioned%7D+and+not+%7BTo+be+decommissioned%7D&page=depot&tab=default and ensure that there are valid L2 address entries

I went over all 37 entries on https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?andor=and&cft%5B%5D=11&cfe=%7BNuremberg%7D+and+%28%7BQAM%7D%29+and+not+%7BOld-Decommissioned%7D+and+not+%7BDecommissioned%7D+and+not+%7BTo+be+decommissioned%7D&page=depot&tab=default and crosschecked entries which was IMHO rather simple because all machines within the domains .qam.suse.de, .qe.suse.de, .qam.suse.cz are managed within https://gitlab.suse.de/OPS-Service/salt/ and then I added all MAC addresses to the corresponding machines that did not yet have entries.
