Motivation¶
For #108974 we need UEFI PXE support within .qa.suse.de which we currently don't have. Maybe the upgrade of qanet in #81192 already helped to bring in a newer version of dhcpd.
Acceptance criteria¶
- AC1: Machines are able to boot over UEFI over network
Suggestions¶
- Read https://confluence.suse.com/display/~jbaier_cz/Booting+and+installing+bare-metal+worker+via+network
- Get dhcpd to serve the right files to the correct host, e.g. a host requiring UEFI binaries gets UEFI binaries, i.e. web research for "UEFI PXE network boot" instructions and adjust to our needs to cover the bare mininum of get something to boot, e.g. where openQA types in the command line what is necessary, not more!

"Machines are able to boot …" - what machines are we talking about here? Considering https://confluence.suse.com/display/~jbaier_cz/Booting+and+installing+bare-metal+worker+via+network this is about bare-metal machines. Is there a free bare-metal machine to test this with?
