Description

Yesterday I ran a highly unscientific bandwidth measurement on provo-mirror, just looking at the received/transmitted number from /proc/net/dev:

awk /external/'{print $2" "$10}' /proc/net/dev

Every minute for 100minutes, from 16:07 to 17:47. On average, we had 9.27Mb/second with a slight downward trend.

Looking at "openSUSE_Tumbleweed" directories in repositories/, they take up 348Gb. Even at a steady 10Mb/sec, that alone will take us about half a day.

Do you still experience bandwith issues? I suggest running iperf against a 10G target server in the same country and testing both up- and download using it.
