Please see #36751 for initial request about self test of valgrind.
We can create a new test module to check valgrind:
install, run basic tests and check test result.

Why should we implement a test in openQA when we already have a good one in the package? We are not the "openQA departement". In general we should aim for selecting whatever is the best tool to execute a test, as early as possible in the development process.
