Motivation

Similar as in #170101 next to grenache there is also nessberry which according to https://racktables.nue.suse.com/index.php?page=object&tab=default&object_id=12216 is also Power8. Should we use that to run as KVM@PowerNV?

Acceptance criteria

  • AC1: KVM@PowerNV OSD tests can run again (any host)
  • AC2: We know if we can use nessberry as KVM@PowerNV host

Suggestions

  • Follow what has been done in #170101
  • Coordinate with workload owners about alternatives

Nevermind. I checked within https://powerhmc.qe.prg2.suse.org/dashboard/#resources/systems and nessberry runs firmware "VL940_FW940.01 (34)" so it's Power9 and does not support KVM. We can't use nessberry for that purpose.
